but momentarily - 
rejoining into an ornate Turkish Islamic Pool
with a carousel of cubic nets
dragging through the not-quite water
but its sunny
and safe
in its descent

Out of the liminal pool
and into the fire -
building to the final battle
Romans in the streets
under our command somehow
against who-knows-whom..
but they're coming

Its a match of positions atop multiple towers
we have to get higher
He and I, in the elevator

the other night was attending a class
that was heavily disrupted by bad behaviour,
when all she wanted was to graduate for a job
at Umbrella Newton - a cybersecurity firm
as far as I could tell - 
but in a false beard and glasses
to be taken seriously, or take seriously the class.)
