ME262Blue

Image depicts the impression of an ME262 jet - an early german jet aircraft - donning a blue variation on the 90s McLaren F1 Racing Livery with Marlboro. Although this aircraft was designed for fighting, I wanted to imagine a world where - like a Formula 1 car - its power, form and purpose might only have been for sport and innovation. All but removing the pilot and canopy was my way to focus attention on the airframe itself being the character - its own living entity.

ME262Grey

ME262Grey focusses on the impression made in light and shadow by this late WW2 Aircraft - the first German Jet aircraft. Painted as if fossilized in stone, this was the form taken then by technologies that are now far more advanced.

0105BR

0105BR depicts the ghostly form of a YAK-15, an early Soviet Jet based on the airframe of a previous propellor driven design. The painting focusses on the impression left by the aircraft in light and shadow. The canopy is all but missing - a removal of the human operator to highlight the spirit of the object itself.
